OUR STORY
Helping Children Climb to New Heights
In 1997, a group of child psychiatrists recognized a need. Houston lacked a quality, early-intervention program for children, so they created one. The Harris School (THS) is named in honor of founding physician Hunter Harris, MD. More than 20 years later, THS continues to offer behavioral, emotional and academic services for kids from PreK3 through grade 6.
VIRTUAL TOUR
Due to Covid-19, THS now offers a virtual tour to limit the number of individuals coming in contact with students. In-person tours are reserved for prospective families and can be requested at
713-526-2046 or info@TheHarrisSchool.org.

MISSION
To provide a supportive, academic environment where students and their families learn new skills to overcome challenging behaviors.

VISION
For every child with behavior challenges to get the help they need without economic barriers or social stigma.

VALUES
We value a child's individuality along with a team approach -- including families and outside providers --
to promote healthy social and emotional development.
